offering loving, gentle, & trauma-informed care for your perinatal & reproductive health journey
We all deserve culturally competent, trauma-informed, and gentle care for our reproductive health journeys — care that sees where we've been, where we are now, and where we would like to be.
My work as as a full spectrum doula is to be a consistent place to land for you and your family through the transformation of your perinata experience, from fertility to conception, pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and the many layers that may come of loss. As your doula, it is my honor to walk alongside you, bearing witness to the many rivers that brought you here, and supporting you in building & implementing a care plan that works for you & your family’s specific needs. There is so much that we cannot predict in the perinatal experience, but what I can offer is evidence-based education, a steady presence, and deep care that meets you where you are, so that we can greet whatever arises, together.
I approach birth work as liberation work. As a queer and genderfluid Korean person who has experienced multiple levels of violence, I understand how important it is to feel empowered in the care I receive. My care is grounded in my beliefs in reproductive autonomy, and that everybody has the right to decide what happens to their body, and to have the information needed to create informed decisions about our reproductive experiences. Anti-imperialism, Indigenous sovereignty, and Black liberation, are foundational to my value systems. On a personal scale, that translates as the knowledge that although we live within systems of oppression — our lives, dreams, and generations, are deserving are so vibrant and deserving of freedom, joy, and safety. I believe in a future where all of us are free — where our BIPOC, 2SLGBTIQA+, fat, disabled, and neurodiverse loved ones are safe, where there is healing for survivors of sexual, domestic, and state violence, and where all birthing people are offered deep, culturally relevant care through their journeys into becoming.
I am passionate about the emotional/physical/spiritual processes that emerge during the transitional space of birth and postpartum, and am always eager to share what evidence-based information I know, and to be curious around what I do not know, so that we can learn together. I incorporate herbal support, Traditional Chinese/Korean Medicine frameworks, moxibustion, belly binding, mental health care plans, and ear acupuncture (5NP) as integral parts of my practice (shoutout to Canoe Journey Herbalists for gifting me the practice of ear acupuncture). I am a life-long learner, and approach my carework with curiosity, joy, and gentle commitment to your ongoing wellbeing, guided deeply by the stars of my community, mentors, ancestors, and the families that I work with.
I believe that the care we offer one another has the potential to shape the future, and would be honored to be part of your birth and postpartum story.

Working with Jin postpartum was probably the best investment our family made. Coming home from the hospital and settling in with a new baby was overwhelming, but Jin supporting our family made this new journey and transition easier for all of us. They brought so much light into our house with the best care not only for our new baby but us as new parents. From support with lactation and chest feeding, to cooking hardy and delicious meals, to words of encouragement and just general listening Jin was amazing. They allowed us to show up how we were each week, and affirmed our experiences - both the fun growth moments and the more challenging aspects of newborn life. We felt cared for as a family and we appreciated all that they did to support us. We highly recommend working with Jin if you are given the chance!

Dear Family,
if you are considering having Jin as your birthing dula, I personally would NOT HESITATE. Jin is a capable and experienced Dula who understands the sacred experience of birthing. Their respect for our boundaries and needs were honored and encouraged. Also, Their voice is soothing and calming, like a steady stream falling down a small collection of polished stones. They bring warmth, refreshment and healing with their presence and years of wisdom. I felt completely safe in their care and instantly knew I didn't need to worry. They worked well with my partner and calmly coached them through 10 hours of labor.
After our home birth, Jin came to visit as often as we needed and was always available to speak through my worries and fears that arose. in my experience, I noticed they are sensitive to all people, accepting and completely nonjudgemental. As a trauma survivor, Jin was able to kindly and lovingly help me through emotional experiences that arose unexpectedly. Furthermore, I could not recommend them higher to any human who feels in their being a desire to work with them.
Trust yourself. You know what you need. Honor your truth.
